Description
The ore and bulk carrier port of Bargny (POMB) aims to decongest the port of Dakar in addition to being an ore and bulk carrier.
This involves building a deep water port, with a draft of 18 m, which will have a processing capacity of 7 million tonnes of bulk products in its first year of operation, then 12 million tonnes in its third year of operation when the infrastructure will be fully built and operational. The number of jobs will be 740 during the first construction phase and 2600 during the operation phase.
