Regional Express Train – Phase 1

The TER project provides for the construction of a standard gauge railway between Dakar and Blaise Diagne International Airport in Diass (AIBD), double track over 57 km, the construction of 14 stations and the commissioning of a fast train with a top speed of 160 km/h, in dual mode (electric and fuel oil) and capable of transporting 115 passengers per day. The project also supports the renewal of the meter track intended for the development of freight and mining traffic. The commissioning of the first Dakar-Diamniadio phase over 000 km was carried out on December 36, 27.
