Digital economy-Zones dedicated to export services

Description

The flagship project “Digital economy – dedicated ready-to-use zones” aims to make Senegal the leader in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa in terms of outsourcing of digital services (offshoring), by 2023.

To this end, the creation of two (2) dedicated zones, ready for use and with an attractive regulatory framework, is planned.

In this perspective, the Diamniadio Digital Technologies Park (PTN) project constitutes the first initiative undertaken. It is financed by the State of Senegal and the African Development Bank (ADB) for a total amount of 46,314 billion CFA francs. 

Methods of implementation 

The institutional anchoring of the project is at the level of the Ministry of the Digital Economy and Telecommunications (MENT). Operational implementation is ensured by a management unit placed under the supervision of the MENT.
