African Network of Delivery Units Forum – Dakar 2023

The first Forum of the African Network of Delivery Units (DU), was held in Diamniadio on November 9 and 10, 2023. A moment of sharing experience and good practices in instruments for monitoring and evaluating public policies in Africa. For two days, delegations from 14 African countries discussed various themes through panels and a round table with donors. An opportunity taken by the participants to underline the importance of these monitoring tools and implementation of major public programs. The BOS success model was praised by the partners who pleaded for its sharing in other African countries.

At the initiative of the Operational Monitoring Office (BOS, Delivery Unit of Senegal), this meeting which brought together more than 350 participants from 14 countries, including Senegal, was intended to be a moment of evaluation of the contribution of the Delivery Units (DU ) in the dynamics of emergence in Africa. This in a difficult economic context, marked by multifaceted crises. The meeting was also an opportunity to take stock of the esp, whose tenth anniversary celebration coincides with the event.

Capitalize on good practices

Beyond the evaluation of their contribution in the implementation of public policies, the DUs present in Dakar also sought to consolidate the RADU, set up in 2019, on the sidelines of the 3rd International conference on the emergence of Africa. This forum also aimed to strengthen the commitment of development partners in supporting RADU, given their contribution to the establishment of this network which is intended to be a platform for exchanges, sharing of experiences, good practices and lessons learned. »
