The inauguration of the Foundiougne bridge

The head of state, Macky Sall, proceeded, on Saturday March 26, 2022, to the inauguration of the Foundiougne bridge, 1600 meters long. The commissioning of this infrastructure, which bears the name of the former South African President, Nelson Mandela, will contribute to opening up the Casamance and Sine Saloum region in addition to its impact on the economy of the entire area.
This strategic work represents the culmination of the Government's desire to provide all of Senegal with modern infrastructure.
It is also a powerful lever for exploiting the strong agricultural, economic, cultural and tourist potential of Foundiougne and all of the Saloum islands.
