Hydrocarbon supply strategy
Description
This project aims to secure supplies, reduce costs and position the country as a hub for the sub-region. The objective being to secure supply and reduce internal product costs.
Major Achievements:
- Sangomar oil project executed at 77% (for a target of 78%);
- GTA (Grande Tortue Ahmeyim) gas project at 87% (for a target of 90%);
- RGS (Senegal Gas Network): engineering studies initiated for the different sections concerned.
Outlook 2023:
- Extraction of the first drop of oil from the Sangomar field in its first phase with reserves estimated at 630 million barrels of crude oil;
- RGS: feasibility study (FEED study) relating to a gas pipeline which will connect the GTA Hub/Terminal to the Gandon power station;
- Yaakar-Teranga: Negotiation with the Joint Venture (JV) for a FID (Final Investment Decision) in the first quarter of 2024.
