Accelerated social housing supply program
Status
Description
The objectives of the flagship project “Social Housing Supply Acceleration Program” are:
- To provide a lasting response to the increase in the urban population of our country, the sprawl of urban centers and the legitimate aspiration of citizens for better living conditions;
- To contribute to the development of the building and public works sector, and consequently to the development of the national economy.
The medium-term objective is to reduce the housing deficit in Dakar and the regions, estimated at 300 units in 000. To do this, three levers are being used by the government:
- Support for household solvency;
- The increase in supply by developers;
- The massive increase in land supply.
