Access of the informal economy to social protection: the Simplified Scheme for Small Taxpayers
Description
The flagship reform aims to promote the social inclusion of workers in the informal economy and support their transition to formality. This consists of the establishment of a compulsory, progressive, integrated and simplified regime.
Major Achievements:
- Continuation of the operationalization of the social mutual of artisans, with the articulation of the CMU and the establishment of the information system;
- Implementation of social mutual insurance;
- Implementation of health branch services;
- Finalization of the RSPC communication strategy and plan;
- Finalization of studies relating to the extension of the RSPC.
Outlook 2023:
- Finalization of the drafting of the new social security code taking into account workers in the informal economy;
- Continued deployment of the information system.
