Integrated logistics hub
The ambition of the “Integrated Logistics Hub” Flagship Project is to strengthen the position of Senegal as a privileged entry point for transit to the sub-region, to support the growth of industry, to ensure the fluidity of internal logistics circuits and to promote territorial opening up.
In terms of the port aspect, the aim is to improve the supply of maritime transport services by setting up modern port infrastructure and equipment, making it possible to receive ships between 15 and 20 m draft.
In its railway component, the objective pursued by the ESP is to contribute to the development of multimodal transport networks, as well as the evacuation of minerals, and the movement of goods and people at lower cost throughout Senegal.
Finally, with regard to the road component, beyond the contribution to the development of multimodal transport networks, it is also a question of facilitating access to basic social services and markets.
